Stop by your local Books Inc. on Small Business Saturday
SMALL ADDS UP
In 2019, shoppers came together to support their local communities more than ever. The 10th Annual Small Business Saturday hit a record high with an estimated $19.6 billion in reported spending.
As with all facets of life, the bookselling industry has been directly affected by Covid-19. For everyone's safety, there are extra steps being taken at our own warehouse (as well as at publishing houses and our book distributor) to be sure packaging of books are done in the safest and most sanitary ways possible. While we are doing our best to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, this does have an affect on usual shipping and packaging times, which may result in delays as things pick up during this holiday shopping season.
In addition, we're doing our best to plan around a supply issue surrounding the two major book printers based in the US: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/27/books/printing-companies-backlog-book...
We are of course committed to getting all orders out as efficiently as possible, but do be aware that shopping early for the holidays is the best way to help ensure that your gift items arrive to you in time for the holiday season.
Thank you so much for supporting Books Inc. during these times, we wouldn't be able to do what we do without your patronage and we truly appreciate each and every customer.
*Please Note: An RSVP via Eventbrite is required. Select your preferred RSVP option below to attend. Zoom information will be sent out closer to the event date.*

Join Dan Rather for an intimate and timely discussion on "What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism" in support of independent bookstores.
About this Event
On Wednesday, December 2, at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT, join Dan Rather for a discussion on his book What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism.
“In my many travels over the years, I have often sought out independent bookstores because you can learn a lot about a place from its bookstores,” Rather said. “These are often idiosyncratic and surprising places, the kinds of uniquely local institutions that tie communities together.”
With a storied career that has spanned more than six decades, Rather has earned his place as one of the world’s best-known journalists. In his latest book, Rather reflects on patriotism and what brings Americans together at this critical moment in our national identity. He looks to the book’s title not as a question, but as a plan of action, a path forward for the country.
