Meet-And-Greet with KARIMA CAMMELL & CLINT MARSH at Books Inc. Berkeley

Karima Cammell and Clint Marsh join Books Inc. in Berkeley for a meet-and-greet in celebration of their imaginative and unique guide to food, The Troll Cookbook: A Taste of Something Different. Complete with whimsical illustrations, The Troll Cookbook sets you on the cyclical path of the culinary year. You’ll learn creative ways to prepare and share meals using simple, seasonal foods and classic techniques. Food lore breaks down basic ingredients such as grains, beans, root vegetables, and eggs, and shows how to turn them into mouthwatering meals using more than 180 rapturous recipes and techniques. Watercolor paintings by Karima pepper the pages, showing trolls delighting in the food they’ve made. Delicious samples will be served!

Karima Cammell is a painter, author, and publisher admired for her merging of art, business, and personal philosophy. She is the founder of Castle in the Air, a celebrated Berkeley shop, classroom, and gallery, which has grown to become a destination for artists and dreamers from around the world. Clint Marsh uses elements of myth, magic, folklore, and humor to help people navigate everyday life. His first book, The Mentalist’s Handbook, updated Victorian spiritual techniques for modern readers. He authored the satirical Goblinproofing One’s Chicken Coop, which was awarded the Bookseller/Diagram Prize. Clint is the editor of Fiddler’s Green Peculiar Parish Magazine.

One of Books Inc.’s favorite aspects of being booksellers is getting the chance to welcome and host hundreds of authors a year, from house-hold names to local, debut authors and we are so excited to begin reintroducing the Bay Area with “The Experience You Can’t Download” in our stores with traditional author talks and booksignings. In addition to meet-and-greet author events and standard author talks, we are also continuting virtual author events.

Sales equate success, and as with in-store events, booksales made from an independent bookstore benefit the author, publisher, and lead to future event bookings. Please help us keep the Bay Area the wonderful literary hub that it is by supporting your local Books Inc.
