Books Inc. Opera prouldy presents Christine Henneberg for a reading from her book Boundless!

In Boundlessrespected writer and physician Christine Henneberg takes on the most polarizing and provocative issue of our time: What does it mean to choose-or choose not-to have a child, and what does it mean when that choice isn't yours to make? As a young physician in training, Henneberg imagines deliberately shaping her life by her choices. But when she finds herself pregnant and performing late-term abortions, she is forced to reckon with the hardest questions: What is the source of her agency and the root of her ambition? What does it mean to make a "good" choice when so little is under her control? And how can she maintain her boundaries in a world of boundless love-the world of motherhood? Her answers, bravely and beautifully articulated, lie at the heart of this provocative, tender, deeply empathic memoir.

With a courageous, unflinching voice and a singular perspective from the abortion frontlines, Boundless raises radical and essential questions about boundaries, bodies, and the meaning of choice.

Christine Henneberg is a writer and a practicing physician. She earned a BA in English/Creative Writing from Pomona College and an MD and MS in health and medical sciences from the UC Berkeley - UCSF Joint Medical Program. She lives in California.

One of Books Inc.’s favorite aspects of being booksellers is getting the chance to welcome and host hundreds of authors a year, from house-hold names to local, debut authors and we are so excited to begin reintroducing the Bay Area with “The Experience You Can’t Download” in our stores with traditional author talks and booksignings. In addition to meet-and-greet author events and standard author talks, we are also continuting virtual author events.

Sales equate success, and as with in-store events, booksales made from an independent bookstore benefit the author, publisher, and lead to future event bookings. Please help us keep the Bay Area the wonderful literary hub that it is by supporting your local Books Inc.
