Books Inc. offshoot Compass Books at SFO is thrilled to welcome local author Charlotte Rygh to share her family-friendly and interactive book Shrimp 'n Lobster: A San Francisco Adventure!

Shrimp 'n Lobster are keen to explore the characteristic sights of cities around the United States!

This animated duo takes to the City by the Bay to discover landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and even Karl, the only fog in the world with a name.

Filled with spirited illustrations and local charm, this guide to San Francisco will captivate children from the Bay to Chinatown with equal parts education and delight. Readers will have a blast discovering the history and culture of this coastal city as they follow Shrimp 'n Lobster to over twenty five destinations in San Francisco alone.

Charlotte Rygh's passion for exploring the oceans provides inspiration for her unique illustrations. She is a graduate of the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and she currently calls the San Francisco Bay Area her home. One of Books Inc.’s favorite aspects of being booksellers is getting the chance to welcome and host hundreds of authors a year, from house-hold names to local, debut authors and we are so excited to begin reintroducing the Bay Area with “The Experience You Can’t Download” in our stores with traditional author talks and booksignings. In addition to meet-and-greet author events and standard author talks, we are also continuting virtual author events.

Sales equate success, and as with in-store events, booksales made from an independent bookstore benefit the author, publisher, and lead to future event bookings. Please help us keep the Bay Area the wonderful literary hub that it is by supporting your local Books Inc.
