Each ticket comes with a copy of Carrey’s new  book: Memoirs and Misinformation

Comedian and actor Jim Carrey got his start doing impressions – wild facial expressions and bizarre physical movements trademarks of his early comedy – before snagging a role on the sketch comedy show In Living Color in the early 90s, and emerging into stardom with over-the-top and darkly funny characters in Ace Ventura, The Cable Guy, Dumb and Dumber, and many more. Carrey shifted into more serious, and often all-consuming roles in The Truman Show, Man on the Moon, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, before withdrawing from the spotlight to focus on visual art. After the 2016 election, Carrey turned his creative attention to political cartoons. Memoirs and Misinformation is a semi-autobiographical novel co-authored with Dana Vachon. Vachon is the author of the novel Mergers and Acquisitions. His essays and journalism have appeared in The New York Times, Slate, and Vanity Fair. He lives in Brooklyn.

Books Inc. proudly hosts hundreds of authors a year, from house-hold names to local, debut authors and we look forward to continuing to provide the Bay Area with the “Experience You Can’t Download”. The majority of our events are free and open to the public; all that we ask is that you have a Books Inc. receipt to join the signing line.

Sales equate success, for the publisher, for the author, and especially for an independent bookstore. The more books we sell at our events, the more authors we have sent our way.  Please help us keep the Bay Area the wonderful literary hub that it is by supporting your local Books Inc.
