Books Inc. proudly welcomes Annie Barrows and Sophie Blackall, the best-selling author/illustrator duo of the beloved Ivy and Bean series in celebration of their 12th book: Ivy and Bean Get to Work! (Ages 6+) This virtual event will include a reading from the book, treasure themed activities, and a fun treasure hunting drawing activity! Make sure to have your paper and pencils ready to draw along!  The event will also feature a very special clue to the Ivy and Bean trivia quiz!

Ivy and Bean go searching for treasure in Book 12--the final story in the New York Times bestselling early chapter book series!

It's Career Day at Emerson Elementary School, and all the students have to choose what they want to be when they grow up. No problem. Best friends Ivy and Bean already have that all figured out. At least, they thought so, until they met Herman the Treasure Hunter. Now everyone in the second grade is looking for treasure--and finding it. Everyone except Ivy and Bean, that is. They need to get out their shovels and turn up some treasure on the double!

- A laugh-out-loud adventure
- Bestselling series--more than 6 million copies sold!
- From beloved author Annie Barrows and award-winning illustrator Sophie Blackall

Ivy and Bean make Career Day--and every day--so much fun with their mischievous antics.

One of Books Inc.’s favorite aspects of being booksellers is getting the chance to welcome and host hundreds of authors a year, from house-hold names to local, debut authors and we are so excited to begin reintroducing the Bay Area with “The Experience You Can’t Download” in our stores with traditional author talks and booksignings. In addition to meet-and-greet author events and standard author talks, we are also continuting virtual author events.

Sales equate success, and as with in-store events, booksales made from an independent bookstore benefit the author, publisher, and lead to future event bookings. Please help us keep the Bay Area the wonderful literary hub that it is by supporting your local Books Inc.
