About the Author

Sandra V. Feder lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and three daughters. She loves playing with words. Two of her current favorites are sunshine and delicious.

Susan Mitchell grew up in a small town in the Texas Hill Country with 3 brothers, and had many adventures while exploring on their grandparent's ranch. She knows a lot of the history and natural environment of the area in which she write. When Ethan, her oldest grandson, was 5 years old, Susan started writing the stories with him, Ethan had a wonderful imagination and started contributing ideas for the stories as he became older. Now their other 4 grandchildren are also characters in the stories. When Ethan was 6 years old, he was diagnosed with Leukemia, and died before he reached the age of 9. Plans are in the works to start a foundation in his memory with proceeds from book sales.
