Dr. Peter J. Glassman is an educator and author who has worked extensively in early childhood, elementary, and post-secondary education in North America, Europe, and Asia. Peter consults widely on issues concerning education, cross-cultural communication, and education policy for government and business groups. Peter is the author of four books, and numerous essays on human creativity and community. He received his Ph.D. degree in English and Comparative literature from Columbia University.

John R. Neill was born in Philadelphia in 1877. In 1904, at the age of twenty-six, Neill received his first major book assignment, as illustrator for The Marvelous Land of Oz. From then until his death in 1943, Neill would illustrate over forty Oz books, including three he wrote himself. Today, his fabulous illustrations are synonymous with Oz.
