DAVE EGGERSis the editor of McSweeney s and a cofounder of 826 National, a network of nonprofit writing and tutoring centers for youth, located in seven cities across the United States. He is the author of four books, including What Is the What and How We Are Hungry.
David Sedaris published this book to support 826NYC, a nonprofit tutoring center in Brooklyn, New York that helps students ages six to eighteen develop their writing skills through free writing workshops, publishing projects, and one-on-one help with homework and English-language learning.
