“[Full of] Lessing’s acute observations . . . this dystopia, underscored by its reluctant hero’s existential dilemma . . . resembles a classical myth.”
“A fascinating story by a brilliant writer... Lessing’s prose is straightforward, uncomplicated and clear. Her characters are complex and vivid.”
