A New Summer Series Presented For Teens by Not Your Mother’s Book Club, Writeous and Books Inc. in Santa Clara
So you have a manuscript or book idea, what now? The goal of this series is to convey realistic expectations while still encouraging young writers and providing them the opportunity to gain  knowledge and tools  from industry professionals needed to continue in their process and be a step ahead of peers.  

Participants must be age 13-18!

Full Series of Four Sessions - May, June, July & August

May 20th • Intro to Publishing

Professional: Hannah Walcher, M.A. Publishing (NYMBC Coordinator)
Learn publishing terms, talk about Indie-Friendly self-publishing, ask questions!

June 3rd • Author’s Perspective

Professional: Brittany Cavallaro, Published Author
Discuss writing tips, finding your voice, and honing your craft

July 15th • Editor’s Perspective

Professional: Summer Dawn Laurie, Freelance Editor
Discuss the importance of editing their work

August 12th • Agent’s Perspective

Professional: Jennifer March Soloway, Literary Agent
Discuss the importance of having an Agent and how to get one.
